India’s largest auto manufacturer, Hyundai Motors India announced the unique customer centric scheme “10 Year Celebration Offer” as it celebrates its 10th anniversary of functions in country. Hyundai Motors has introduced the new “i10” powered by the 1.2L Kappa engine, in Chennai. The price of the car will be in between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.43 lakh. The industry has invested $421 million on the new engine and transmission plant at Sriperumbudur.

Hyundai Motor plans to introduce a LPG variant of Accent and Santro soon. In 2007, they introduced CNG variant of Santro and just for Accent.

In the recent survey, Euro NCAP, the safety rating agency has given following NCAP ratings for some of the Indian cars. Other cars did no apply for the ratings:

In order to boost sales amidst increasing fuel costs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said that they will offer free fuel vouchers for each buy of their i10 and Santro model.

This free voucher worth Rs 2700 come with every Santro and i10 model bought between June 20 to June 30.

After the thunderous success of their hatchback i10, Hyundai Motor India is now planning to launch their larger siblings in Indian market.

On Monday, Hyundai Motor introduced the CNG variant of their mid-size sedan Accent. The Accent (dual fuel) will firstly be available in the National Capital Region (Gurgaon, Noida,Ghaziabad, & Delhi).

Hyundai Motors is planning to debut the diesel edition of i10 in end of 2008. They decide to plan launch of the diesel edition earlier that would follow the i20 launch.

Hyundai a south Indian Automaker has won the Indian Car of the Year-2008 award for i10 model.
