Hyundai India will introduce its popular, best seller & all-new edition of Santro on September 1, 2009. Also the company has plans to phase out its Getz by the year 2011.
The launch seems to be forced by Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched Estilo which is available with improved interiors and styling and more fuel efficient, powerful & BS-IV emission standards compatible 1L K-series engine.
This fiscal, the company hopes to sell 5.5 lacs cars, including the exports cars also. They expect to sell about 2.8 lacs units in domestic market and 2.7 units abroad.

India’s second largest car maker & the one of largest passenger vehicle exporters – Hyundai Motors reported 5.2% increase in its domestic sales at 23,016 units in June 2009 as compared to 21,881 units during the June last year. Thus the company has announced a net increase of 17.63% in sales in June’09.
