Fiat India Launches Punto Sport Diesel

Fiat India has launched a limited edition model Punto Sport Diesel for the Indian buyers alongside the grand opening of its second Fiat Caffe located in Koregaon Park in Pune. This limited edition diesel car is equipped with a turbocharged 1.3 liter Multi Jet diesel engine which churns out 93PS @4000rpm and 209Nm torque at 2000rpm. Its turbocharger allows for a mileage of 20.5kmpl and is priced at Rs.7.36lakhs (Ex-Showroom New Delhi). This limited edition car comes in three colors like, Hip Hop Black, Bossa Nova White and Exotica Red.

Fiat India targeted Sri Lankan market to sell Linea Car

Car maker Fiat India said that it will soon begin selling Linea car in Sri Lanka increasing its overseas presence.

“Fiat India Automobiles Ltd today announced its intent to increase its focus on exports, under which they have exported the Fiat Linea to Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, the inauguration is set for September 29, 2011,” the company said in a statement. The company has appointed Speed Italia as its distributor for the Sri Lankan market, it added.

The first collection of sedans, which will be exported to the island nation, includes almost 72 units among which 50 cars will be assigned to Sri Lankan. “The exports of the Linea to Sri Lanka (will) play a significant role in reaching out to the international markets and establishing our presence globally,” Fiat India chief executive officer Rajeev Kapoor said. Fiat Grande Punto to be refurbished

According to reports, the Fiat Grande Punto is also going to get a facelift. The family hatchback will get its first facelift after it was launched back in June 2009. This new version of the Grande Punto will be called the Evo, and reports suggest that this car will come with a completely reworked and renewed bumper styling, and will also flaunt a new grille with an attractive chrome strip in the front.

Fiat Rally Catches the Eyes

Fiat Rally Catches the EyesPune witnessed a grand rally organized by Fiat India on December 03, 2010. The starting point of the rally was the Vits hotel located close to the Balewadi Sports Complex. The rally went all the way to the Ranjangaon plant of the company. Here the company officials greeted the customers with a warm welcome and then the customers were treated with a visit to the company’s plant.

Friday morning enjoyed a pleasant climate with temperature dipping down and also the sun shining. As many 125 ardent fiat fans made their way early morning to become the part of the rally. 60 cars came from different metropolises in the country like New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Chennai.
