BMW is planning to work on new technologies to produce best automobiles in India. BMW 730d, its 7 series model is an output of these technologies. This model offers more comfortable ride and safety than the other models.

BMW launched its new models of 5 series in India last week. These models are costs in the range of Rs 36.5 lakh to Rs 46.8 lakh. They launched 525i and 530i – as the new petrol versions and 520d, 530d and 53D Highline – the diesel versions in a BMW 5 series.

BMW has said that they are not going to launch their mini compact car in the India in 2009.
According to Mr. Peter Kronschnabl (BMW India President), the Indian market is not feasible for launching the car, but this does not mean that they have discarded their plans for mini car’s launch in India.
They have ended a feasibility study that indicated that situations were not suitable to bring the car in India.

German Luxury Carmaker BMW is assessing over 100 component manufacturers in India before it stats to outsource engines and chassis for its global manufacturing operations.
We are impressed with the quality of die casts and forgings in India that we use for our global operations. The quality of products from second- and third-tier is impressive. Once our pilot project evaluating 100 ancillaries is completed we will outsource engines and chassis for our cars.
