Both Renault and Mercedes Benz are in the hope to ride piggy on first Formula 1 race of India, Airtel Indian Grand Prix so that they can do marketing and give a big push to their cars in the country. Ferrari along with the other two car manufacturers lined up prototype launches, virtual games, merchandise sale, racetrack drives for buyers and racing schools amid others for getting grip in the second increasingly growing car market. Benz is planning to connect with the young segment in which it is seen to track BMW in India. The main goal of Renault is to establish to make a great presence in the Indian automobile market.

Audi is trying to get leading position by the year 2015 in the luxury car market

“Having recorded 95 per cent growth during the January-August period here, India is well ahead of other growth markets for us globally and we are confident that we are on track with our vision of being the No. 1 luxury car maker in India by 2015,” Audi India Head Michael Perschke said in a statement.

Audi in the month of August recorded almost more than 100% increase in sales to 510 units, as against 250 units a month ago. During the period of January to August, the sales of Audi has been increased a complete 95% to 3,655 units from 1,876 units in the equivalent a year before period. Now Audi is placed at No third position in the luxury car market due to the great sales numbers. Audi has set almost a target sale of 5,000 units in present year. Hyundai introduced the new-generation ‘i30′

A report on Etios and Liva Diesel variants

Mercedes is trying to get back topmost position in India though BMW is not giving up

Mercedes Benz is taking efforts to regain topmost position in India. On the other hand, BMW said that it is not ready to give in the position just now and would take the leadership by making it to a new level of customer satisfaction and brand positioning. It has also been added that the new products launched by the company will even include small cars of the company.

August is an assorted month for India’s Auto Makers

In India, the month of August was a mixed month for auto makers due to boosted sales and others sold few cars as compared to previous year. Peugeot will invest 4,000 crore to set up auto manufacturing plant in Sanand

Announcement has been made by Peugeot, French car maker that it is going invest the amount of 4,000 crore for establishing the auto manufacturing plant in Sanand. It will be established next to India’s future car unit Tata Nano factory and Ford. For Peugeot, the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation has also set sideways almost 584 acres of land in Sanand. More 25 acres has been set aside for ancillary industries for supporting the unit. The facility will surely offer both direct and indirect employment to people. Direct employment will be provided to almost 5,000 people. Indirect employment will be provided to 25,000 people.
