Jaguar with its face-lifted version of Jaguar XF

One of the biggest premium car manufacturers in the world, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has a new saloon car available for the car enthusiasts in India. JLR is a British automobile company owned by the Indian auto giant, Tata Motors and has launched an upgraded or a face-lifted version of the popular Jaguar creations, the Jaguar XF. The new Jaguar XF will be seen with a series of changes in its interiors and exteriors.

The changes only seem to have made to enhance the style quotient of the vehicle as engine remains the same as the older versions for both petrol and diesel. The face-lifted XF continues with a 3.0 litre V6 diesel at 274bhp and the 5.0 litre V8 petrol at 380 bhp. Slit eyes and a fancy new nose (similar to XJ model) are the two new significant changes made in the front exteriors and the tail is revised too. Jaguar also has plans with a new 4 cylinder 2.2 litre diesel engine which is made keeping in mind the luxury car buyers, concerned with the fuel economy. With 188bhp to offer, the performance could be satisfactory and more efficient than a 3-litre V6 diesel. The interiors in the new version are more or less the same with moderate changes. Moto3 machine is revealed by Mahindra at Valencia

Mahindra racing took the sheets off their Moto3 opponent, the MGP30 at Valencia, in the final round of MotoGP world Championship. In present season, Mahindra entered MotoGP finals in 125cc class. It is the first and foremost Indian company who entered the premier motorcycle racing series. It is the final year of the 125cc class of which last race is going to run in Valenica circuit. From next year, the 4-stroke 250cc race machines will replace the 2-stroke-powered 125cc. The introduction of Moto3 race machine of Mahindra racing was created by the Anand Mahindra, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd in Spain. Skoda Plans to Export Rapid

The Czech car maker wants to introduce Rapid in the international market. The company has decided that after the launch of Rapid on November 16, the car will be exported to other nations across the globe.

The company has high hopes from Rapid. The company expects that this car will become its best selling model in the country and its sales will be more than that of the compact car Fabia. The Skoda Auto India Marketing Head Tarun Jha said that “This car is specifically designed for India and the launch will be the global launch for the car. Peugeot Lays Foundation Stone of Rs 4,000 crore Facility in Gujarat

PSA Peugeot Citron, the French car maker laid the foundation stone of its 4,000 crore facility at Sanad in Gujarat. The agreement between the company and the Gujarat government was signed about two months ago.

The first car will enter the market from this plant by mid-2014. This plant at Sanad will be made on an area of about 600 acre plot and will have a capacity to produce about 1.7 lakh cars initially. By 2016 the capacity of the plant will be increased to 3.4 lakh. The company also plans to produce gasoline engines and gear boxes in this facility. Ariel Atom Launches Cars in India

InterGlobe Enterprises has launched Ariel Motor’s Atom range of cars in India. The company is a luxury solution provider. These cars will be priced up to 85 lakh and all the operations of the company will be handled by InterGlobe Established Pvt. Ltd. This company is a subsidiary of InterGlobe Enterprises and the parent company is a diversified business house.

The car shall be branded as The Estd and the InterGlobe will “exclusively represent” the Ariel Motor Company in the SAARC countries and also in India. The company plans to sell various models of the recently launched car and the starting price of the Atom will approximately be Rs 55 lakh and will go up to 85 lakh for higher variants. Hero MotoCorp Prepares Itself for Stiff Competition

Hero MotoCorp, the two-wheeler giant has predicted an increase of about 27 percent growth as the demand for two-wheelers in the rural areas has increased in the country. So by the end of the financial year in March 2012, the net sales are expected to jump from 196.7 billion rupees to 250 billion rupees. This information was given by the chief financial officer of Hero, Ravi Sud.

The two-maker is willing to increase its budget for research and development up to seven times than the present budget. It is also considering purchasing design houses and manufactures of engines to develop new models. He said that this will give the company an edge over one of its former partner, Honda Motor Co. He added that Honda will go on providing support Hero till 2014. In the mean time, the company shall focus on becoming self reliant and strengthening their capabilities. Randeep Singh Surjewala, Haryana industries Minister refuted that leading Maruti Suzuki Company was shifting base from its Haryana plant to Gujarat plant. Minister by addressing media people said that Maruti Suzuki remains the hugest investors in Haryana.

“The car manufacturer has made an on ground investment worth Rs 7000 crore in Haryana. Since 2005, MSIL has invested Rs 6500 crore on setting up of two plants in Manesar and an investment of Rs 500 crore had been made on setting up another plant — Suzuki Power Terrain Limited. French car maker, Renault showcased a new small car in India. The car has been named Pulse and the cart maker will sell it from January next year. Pulse is the third car that Renault has launched in India.

The Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix: a Huge Success!

India’s inaugural F1 Grand Prix was a huge success. Although this race was won by the world champion Sebastian Vettel, it was also a victory for India as it silenced the critics that India was not quite capable of holding international events. The Formula 1 race commenced quite smoothly and was Vettels’ 11th victory.

The second position was held by McLaren’s Jenson Button, who finished 8.4 seconds after Vettel and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso held the third position. The fourth position was held by Mark Webber and Michael Schumacher struggled to make it to the fifth position. Vettel led the race throughout and now he has come quite close to Schumacher’s record of winning 13 times in a season.
