Burnt Nano a Nightmare

Nano Catches Fire

Another Nano in the country was draped in flames. Tata Motors are in trouble again after this kind of incident which took place in Mumbai. Mr Satish Sawant who is an insurance agent went for the delivery of his Tata Nano and while coming back the Nano caught fire which ensures every bit of metal to be burnt.
The rear engine mounted car caught fire when it was stopped at a signal. Smoke started coming out of the vehicle which forced Mr Sawant and the driver out of the Nano. Within minutes the entire Nano was in flames and nothing could be done. This was a shocking view to see as the new car which was being delivered had caught fire.

It is unfortunate to see the report of Tata Nano catching fire in Mumbai…trust the Tata Motor officials would look into the matter seriously and replace the car to the owner….as an automotive journalist, I know how much pain Tata Motors have undergone to bring such a wonderful car affordable to middle-class people of India. Truly a people’s car the vehicle has lot of frugal engineering involved in it and the management had set highest standards to bring out such a nice product, which they got clearance for the crash test in the UK!
Vendors like Bosch and all other suppliers have taken concerted effort in bringing out the cheapest cost, without compromising on quality….trust this is an isolated incident and if the management comes to know about the incident, then I am sure they would replace the vehicle and also look into the cause of fire and fix the issue….hope rumor mills will not make rounds and spoil the image of the product…request you to visit my blog space and go through my blogs and send periodic feedback….I am also planning to write a blog on this subject tomorrow….do catch up with that….
Cheers

As usual Tata cannot produce anything without a fault. This is a deadly game they are playing.

I heard from a friend who had worked with the RCA team for nano when the first incident happened, it seems the unit that caught fire was a pre-production (w/o field tested) unit. Which is not expected from such a reputed brand name.

now TATA wants to earn money from the middle class people giving them very low quality car. i think that Tata Motors want to reduce the population of middle class people. Wake up customers and fight for your right.
