BSA e-Scooters in India

Investments of India (IT) entered the nascent e-scooter segment by introducing its five models. This diversification into the e-scooter will be activated through recently formed strategic business unit (SBU) under a label and way of the BSA Motors.
The models will be priced in range of Rs. 29k to Rs. 37K. The BSA Motors was planning to make 40-dealers across a South firstly. The e-Scooters will be made at BSA Motors’ unit in Ambattur.
The group has made an initial investment of Rs. 20 crore. The plant has an initial production capacity of 150 eScooters a day, which can be ramped up to 300 units a day.
The five models of the BSA eScooters are: Smile, Diva, Street Rider, Roamer and Romer Plus.
The 250W Smile & Diva are aimed at the young crowd in age range of 13 to 18 years and 16 to 20 years, rspt. They don’t need registration and license. The 250wt Street Rider is the sports edition for teenagers.
The 500W Roamer is designed for the working women and men in age group of 18 to 25 years. The 800W Roamer Plus is the family e-scooter. Roamer and Roamer Plus need registration and license.
