In an event organized in the wonderful city of Pune, BMW Ina launched BMW X3. This event took place at the new Bavaria Motors dealership. By considering the engine size of BMW X3,  BMW X3 was launched in 2Variants such as BMW X3 xDrive 30d and BMW X3 xDrive 20 d.

This newly launched car costs around 41, 20,000 and has two diesel engines and dropped petrol engine from X3 line-up. Audi is the rival who will be competing with BMW in this segment. Audi Q5 is leading in this segment. A few days back, the cost of the Audi Q5 has been reduced by almost 5 lakhs. Such reduction in the cost of Audi Q5 made things difficult for BMW.

But when we talk about luxury cars, BMW is the leader in the market to offer luxury cars in India. BMW is known as the best and leading luxury car maker in the world. Last year, BMW invested 40% market share in the Indian luxury car segment and even doubled its volumes.Though in the year 2011, they have not doubled its volumes however it has not spoiled the BMW’s party. BMW has seen fast growth this year. There is an increasing demand for BMW X3 hence the company needs to increase its output to fulfill this increasing demand for luxury cars.

These days, BMW is operating two shifts and rolling out almost 11,000 units from the Chennai plant.  India is known as the best and fast growing market for BMW. In other markets too, BMW X3 launched. It was planned to launch BMW X3 in the first half of the year 2011 however the reason behind the delay has been the huge success of the SAV, Sports Activity Vehicle-BMW lingo.

Before a few months, BMW Xi was facing supply problems that are assembled in India from CKD kits. This is main reason why the deliveries of BMW XI were affected. For avoiding these supply problems, BMW preferred to delay the launching of BMW X3.  Even if, the cost at which BMW X3 has been provided in India is not that much competitive, automaker believes in its products and the equipment level, best quality and classic BMW is going encourage people to purchase this new BMW X3. The new launching of X3 by BMW is the first produce in India, which is fitted with the system. When this car comes to a halt, the function called Auto Start-Stop turns off the engine automatically and even turns it on when you step on its accelerator. Hence, such system is made to help people in saving fuel.

Now-a-days, the Indian market is seeing a shift from petrol to diesel power cars. Petrol pricing is increasing day by hence consumers prefer to purchase diesel powered vehicles. Diesel makes more sense in SUVs as compared a petrol engine according to BMW. Therefore, BMW India preferred to provide people new BMW X3, which as two diesel engine.
