German car manufacturer, BMW is all set to bring in a face lifted BMW 7 Series, this new year. The car is expected to be launched in India early next year, replacing the current set of BMW 7 series.
The sedan is likely to be priced between INR.87 to INR 95 lakhs ex showroom Delhi price.
Initially, only the BMW 730Ld diesel model will be introduced and a petrol version could also be launched in the later half of the year.
This sedan will be powered by a 2993 cc in line 6 cylinder diesel engine that delivers 158 bhp @ 4000 rpm with a torque of 520 Nm to 560 Nm @ 1500 rpm. The engine is mated to an eight speed automatic transmission with Steptronic. The car can hit 0 to 100 kms/h in just 6.2 seconds.
The changes in the new model includes new set of LED headlights, new front bumpers, new kidney grille and side indicator lights incorporated on the outside rear view mirror. It also gets other features like dynamic damper control system, 3D navigation display, rear iDrive monitors and rear air suspension.
The inside of the sedan gets narrower seats that gives it a more airy feel, in addition to this, the car is equipped with a powerful 1200 watts Bang & Olufsen surround sound music system with 16 speakers.
The car is going to be pitted against other luxury on the wheels such as, Audi A8, Mercedes Benz S Class and Jaguar XJ. The customer is spoilt for choice. BMW with the latest launch is certainly going to make it tougher.
