May the Fiat Palio 1.6 be at peace, as the news is that Fiat has decided to put brakes on manufacturing this stylish hatchback. This small car was really the pioneer in brining the concept of a very stylish, sensational looking hatchback. The powerful 1.6 litre 100 bhp, engine gave a very tough and robust feel to it.

This decision of stopping production of the car was mainly due to two reasons, less demand in the market and the fact that the car’s specifications and Bharat Stage IV norms don’t go hand in hand.
Apparently, the mismanagement with respect to after sales services and networks really caused a lack of confidence among the people.

In addition, it’s ’not up to the mark fuel efficiency‘ was a big disadvantage and caused a dent to its popularity. Fiat’s plans to be resilient and to come good were mentionable as they launched the Fiat Palio Stile, but could not go a long way. Moreover, the huge success of Grande Punto added insult to injury to the Palio. The Palio was all tough and had superior interiors, handling was off the top notch, build quality was just superb, but still it really failed to get the customer’s attention with its economy, performance and overall value for money quotient too was very low.

This decision has led to many buyers mourning who were being counted as Palio fans. All we can do is hope that the Fiat Palio will come back all rejuvenated and we will see its look-alike in a trendier, smarter and more fuel-efficient avatar.
