Bajaj-Renault-Nissan JV to Make E-Vehicles

The Bajaj-Renault-Nissan Joint Venture could expand beyond the “Ultra Low-cost Car” (ULC)to include the range of EV (electric vehicle).
Mr. Ghosn (Chief Nissan-Renault) just announced that they plans to begin mass production of EV as the part of their strategy to increase demand, which is currently slowed because of high fuel costs.
Now, Renault-Nissan may look at their ULC alliance with the Bajaj for an affordable e-vehicles production.
It is not clear whether Bajaj-Renault-Nissan alliance will make e-versions of light truck that Bajaj showcased at Auto-Expo this year. Bajaj has been enthusiastic to enlarge their relationship with the Renault to light-commercial-vehicles as well.
