Bajaj Auto to Introduce 'Most Fuel Efficient' Engine Bajaj Auto is planning to launch the most fuel efficient engine series of the world, called the DTS - Si 2.0, which includes five major innovations.

Totally designed by R&D team ‘Ahead‘ of Bajaj Auto, the DTS – Si version 2.0 engine includes several internal modifications which will assist to provide more efficient combustion (with Oval Pent Roof Combustion Chamber) and lessen the frictional losses (with Molykote Piston).The company will introduce its first 2-wheeler using this engine technology in a month of July 2009.

Some Features of Bajaj DTS-Si 2.0 Edition are :

  • Superior DTS-Si engine for more efficient combustion and improved efficiency.
  • Oval Pent Roof Combustion Chamber for increasing charge density in propagation path to attain near full combustion with the lean fuel air ratios.
  • Molykote Piston to reduce friction & engine efficiency improvement.
  • ExhausTEC to bring more torque and decrease gear alterations in a city driving.
  • Five -speed transmission to make sure the engine sprints in a most capable driving zone.

    dear all
    these words seems promising however i strongly suggest you all not to believe in bajajs words as they are the least reliable (except-pulsar 150, platina, discover125) company infact nasty they will introduce a model and will or can discontinue within months leaving u with soar feeling
    let the model do well in the market den only think of buying it

    its really great that bajaj is working on the most fuel efficient engine soon bajaj will be in the moto gp that time will be so proud for all indians and we will also make bikes like r1, hayabusa.

    bajaj launches new bikes every 3 months and creates big hypes before launch.the quality and reliability of bajaj bikes is nowhere close to hondas.life of bajaj bikes is short lived.
