Bajaj Auto Introduces New Platina 125 DTS-Si

bajaj-logo.gifBajaj Auto on Monday introduced its new Platina 125cc with “Digital Twin Spark - Swirl induction” (DTS-Si) engine in Hyderabad. It is the 2nd bike on this engine platform.

This is a part of the strategy to catalyse the migration of 100cc customers to superior performing 125cc products with 111 kmpl mileage.

- Mr. K. B. Mohanty (Sr. Manager, Bajaj Auto) told.

This segment at present represents 36% of the bike industry and has risen at 14% compared with 9% for sub 125cc segment in a 1st quarter of this fiscal, Mr. Mohanty said.

The Platina 125 DTS-Si would available with added features such as DTS-Si engine, auto choke, e-start, anti-friction DU bushes in a front fork and double pilot lamps.

The new bike will be manufactured at company’s Waluj plant with the expected production of 15K bikes in September. The bike is being launched stage wise across state from end of September onwards. The bike with e-start offered at price of Rs 39K at ex-showroom, he added.
