Audi has managed to maintain its sheen even in the presence of BMW and Mercedes with launches of high quality.

Putting a final end to the speculation about the company’s major techno genius, the new Audi A8 release, the company has finally zeroed on 10th January, 2011 as the date for the hugely anticipated vehicle.

Audi has always maintained its class when two of its compatriots BMW and Mercedes are always there to launch a war within themselves. Audi is set to unveil its A8 on 10th January, 2011 as the perfect New Year gift for its millions of fans.

As we have already reported earlier, Audi’s latest avatar A8 is a sheer techno genius and takes the tech bonanza altogether to a new level.

The car will be available with two engine options, a 4.2-litre FSI V8 gasoline (370PSS, 445Nm) and a 3.0-litre TDI V6 diesel (250PS, 550Nm). The company also plans to launch a 6.3-litre W12 engine (500PS, 625Nm) in the later part of 2011. The new car will be priced between Rs 77 lakh to Rs 95 lakh ex-showroom on launch.

A company executive on the condition of anonymity was quipped as saying.

Wow, seems like finally the luxury car market in India is getting hot. It would also be interesting to watch what steps BMW and Mercedes take to combat Audi’s initiative.
