Aston Martin V12 Zagato:Production Version Makes its Debut in Kuwait

The renowned manufacturer Ashton Martin will launch its first exclusive production version of Aston Martin V12 Zagato in the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance Motor Show on 15th February 2012. This show is one-of-its-kind automobile show in the Middle East which is a competition that evaluates classic cars based on their design and style.

Aston Martin started its relationship with Italian designing company called Zagato 50 years ago to make its sports cars racier and advanced. This car was developed to mark the fifty year long association of Aston Martin and Zagato and was introduced at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este during the month of May last year. Aston Martin V12 Zagato was launched on the racing field at the Nurburgring racing circuit which is considered to be one of the toughest circuits. Till now it has been showing its presence only in the racing circuits, but it would be available for all the sports car lovers around the world after its debut in the Kuwait car show.

As is the tradition at Aston Martin, the car would be hand built at the headquarters in England. The V12 Zagato is designed based on the V12 Vantage which is prized by Aston Martin as one of its best sports car. Only 150 V12 Zagatos would be built for the first deliveries. The deliveries would start by the end of this year, so all those eyeing to buy this beauty should be real quick.

The body of this model is made of aluminum and carbon fire which makes it light and sturdy at the same time. It possesses a 6 liter V12 engine churning out 510bhp and would be priced at 330,000 pounds which calculates up to a little above 2.56 crore in Indian Rupees.

The V12 Zagato, which is said to be the contemporary interpretation of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, has also won the Concorso D’Eleganza Design award when it was revealed for the first time last year. It was voted by the visitors to the Concorso D’Eleganza Classic and Concept Car fair as the best among the ten entries around the world.

The CEO of Aston Martin, Dr Ulrich Bez said “We are excited to show the new V12 Zagato for the first time in production form at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance. Over 50 years since the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the original focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.”
