InterGlobe Enterprises has launched Ariel Motor’s Atom range of cars in India. The company is a luxury solution provider. These cars will be priced up to 85 lakh and all the operations of the company will be handled by InterGlobe Established Pvt. Ltd. This company is a subsidiary of InterGlobe Enterprises and the parent company is a diversified business house.

The car shall be branded as The Estd and the InterGlobe will “exclusively represent” the Ariel Motor Company in the SAARC countries and also in India. The company plans to sell various models of the recently launched car and the starting price of the Atom will approximately be Rs 55 lakh and will go up to 85 lakh for higher variants.

Nigel Harwood, the Estd president and CEO said “India is fascinated by fast cars, and the Atom gives us a unique opportunity to provide a distinguished product in this category…The demand for these cars is expected to grow at 20 per cent over the next 5 years, presenting an exciting market opportunity.” He added that “We have seen the emergence of sports car culture amongst the young HNIs (high net worth individuals), who seek thrill and adventure. The addition of Atom will help us strengthen our portfolio and cater to new emerging consumer segment.”

It seems that the company has great expectations from the Indian market. Their products have a “huge potential” here and so the company expects that this car will do well in the country. This was evident in the Formula 1 races where the Ariel Motor Company’s V8 Atom showed excellent performance on the tracks. Harwood also said that “The demand for these cars is expected to grow at 20% over the next 5 years, presenting an exciting market opportunity. We see a huge potential for this affordable product in India, especially on the back of a successful F1 season with a fantastic new racing track available for consumers. With an ex-factory price of Rs. 25 lacs, we believe India will embrace the Atom.”
