All New 2010 BMW 5-Series Unveiled !

And finally, the 6th generation, all-new BMW 5-Series (codename – F10) has been unveiled. Unlike the existing E60 gen which was described as being excessively dramatic & baroque, the new codnamed F10 comes back to a more attractive and conventional design reminiscent of its 4th gen E39, however still sporty & aggressive. The 6th gen F10 will hopefully win back many isolated BMW enthusiasts from earlier design.
The new F10 will be available with one 8-cylinder and three 6-cylinder petrol engine as well as two 6-cylinder diesel engine models.In petrol versions, 550i Twin Power Turbo V8 delivers 300 kw / 407 horsepower, 535i Twin Turbo Straight - 6 makes 225 kW / 306 horsepower, while BMW 528i, two straight-six engines with DI make 190kW / 258 horsepower and BMW 523i delivers 150 kW/ 204 horsepower, respt. For diesel versions, BMW 530d makes 180 kW / 245 horsepower, BMW 525d produces 150 kW / 204 horsepower and 520d produces 135 kW / 184 horsepower.The BMW 5-Series will be manufactured at its Dingolfing plant together with the latest 2009 BMW 7-Series F01. The BMW 5 Series F10 is based on the similar architecture as BMW 7 Series.
