All Hail The New Ford Fiesta

The first of the eight new premium Ford cars, the Ford Fiesta was launched in Mumbai on Monday. The car, which is sure to trigger a storm in the luxury C-segment, is priced between 8.23 Lakhs and 10.42 lakhs (ex-Showroom Delhi).
Equipped with EBD, ABS, steering wheel audio controls and airbags, the car would most certainly stun its competitors which include market leader Maruti’s SX4, the Japanese auto giant Honda’s City, Volkswagen Vento and recently revamped Hyundai Verna.
The car is powered by 1.5 L petrol or diesel engine and is offered in four variants namely Style, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. Titanium+, the top model of this car, comes loaded with features to outclass every C-segment sedan in the Indian market. Pull Drift Compensation, Bluetooth connectivity, auto-fold mirrors and voice activated climate control; Ford India has armed the Fiesta 2011 with all the premium features in its arsenal.
The diesel version is powered by a 90 Bhp, 1.5 L Duratorq engine, whereas the petrol variant has a 106.5 Bhp, 1.5 L TiVCT engine. Ford Fiesta 2011 will not disappoint the customers in the mileage segment; the car gives a staggering 17 Kmpl and 23.5 Kmpl for the petrol and diesel version respectively. The use of special steel and boron keeps the weight and rigidity of the vehicle’s frame in check, hence the mileage and the safety is best in the premium sedan segment. Ford India is offering a 2 year / 100, 000 Km warranty on the purchase of Ford Fiesta 2011.
The ever escalating fuel prices make the Ford Fiesta a dream buy for the Indian customers, owing to its fuel economy. Fiesta has dominated the Indian markets ever since its launch in India. With the integration of low running cost and premium features, Ford India is looking to make deeper inroads in the Indian automobile markets.
The American auto giant has been in India since 1998 and its present fleet includes premium sedan Fiesta, hatchback Figo and muscular SUV Endeavour. Ford India has registered a 53 percent rise in sales in the last financial year, riding on the popularity of Ford Figo.
