Air Car from Tata Motors
Posted on August 10th 2008Welcome back!
Tata Motors is now ready to launch its Air car model which runs on compressed air. Air car is also prepared to roll out commercially. The Air car is developed by the ex-Formula One engineer Negre. It makes the use of compressed air to drive pistons and model will be capable to clock 68mph with the driving range of the 125 miles.

The model doesn’t need any particular infrastructure for re-fueling. The car can easily get re-fueled from any gas-station which has the custom air compressed unit. One refill will cost around Rs 90 or $2.
The Air car is the most eco-friendly car and Mr. Negre has signed contracts to bring his design to twelve more countries including Israel and South Africa. Engineers are also functioning on hybrid version so that the Air car may drive on gasoline if in case air fuel drops down the min level. Thus, car may be offered in two-editions: energy compressed air engines and air plus fuel engines.
Tatas hasn’t declared any official announcement about carrying such eco-friendly and fuel efficient car to the Indian market. Car is supposed to be costs around Rs. 3.5 lakh in country.
