2011 Volkswagen Jetta unveiled

Out of the first entrants from the German auto biggie Volkswagen, stable in India were the Passat and Jetta which are always counted in the elite and top-class models size-wise and quality wise. Though, now couple of years down the line, their much required face lifted versions have now begun tip toeing in India. It started with Volkswagen Passat which for the first time featured its patented Bluemotion technologies in India.
Now that the Indian roads are already having pleasure of running Passat on it, the German auto manufacturer comes with another strategic move by bringing its latest international version of Jetta sedan for its Indian customers. It will be an entire treat for car lovers and an eye capturing visual to see as besides its 90 mm longer frame boasts of some top of the line characteristics and technological advancement in its class.
It includes the leather seat upholstery, a leather package for all interior functions like hand brake, steering wheel, lever, gear etc. Day time running lights, an electrically adjustable driver seats, Hill Start Assist, Cruise control, rear AC vents, a touch screen entertainment system with an integrated CD player, aux input and 8 speakers are all the stylish features of this new version of the Volkswagen Jetta.
This new version is equipped with 2.0 liter, 4 cylinders CR TDI engine with a maximum power output of 140 PS@ 4200rpm and a max torque of 320 Nm @ 1750-2500rpm. With a 6 speed DSG gearbox and a manual version, the new Jetta will have a smoother gearshift and an advanced responsiveness as that of the older one. To ensure safety of its drivers and their co-passengers, the new version of Jetta will have ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) and 8 Airbags to ensure safety and minimize injury in case of an accident or collision. A 3-point belt for the center rear seat is also a welcome feature in this new version.
Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd., while speaking during the presentation of new Jetta said, “The Jetta has been a worldwide bestseller for Volkswagen, and with the sixth generation we are confident to continue this success story in an important market like India.”
This new Jetta is available in different shades which include Candy White, Coffee Brown, Reflex Silver, Deep Black Pearl, Silver Leaf and Platinum Grey. It is priced at 14.12 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and the top end model around 18 lakhs. The three variants of the new Volkswagen Jetta, namely the Trendline, the Comfortline and the Highline will all be available in both Manual and Automatic Transmission options.
Booking for this new version have already been started as people are looking up to it for a better ride and comfort.
