Honda has announced its plans to bring 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid to India soon. There are many companies thinking about bringing their hybrid models into India, but as of now only Honda has announced their plans for the same. If this happens, 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid will be the first hybrid car commercially launched in India.

Honda Civic Hybrid will be launched with petrol engine and electric motor. Two will work together as and when required to give better performance and fuel efficiency. It is expected to give 20 kilometers for a liter of petrol fuel.

The first model of Honda Civic Hybrid was commercially produced in 2003. It is being sold worldwide and is a great success. It was not brought to India before due to its ‘on the higher side’ pricing. But now people are getting more worried about environment and fossil fuel, so Honda Siel sees some good scope of it being sold in India.
