‘Garuda’ – Fuel Efficient Car from Bangalore

Mechanical Engineering student from RV College of Eng. Bangalore, designed and made the highly fuel efficient car. The car addresses the serious issues of the world like oil crisis, environmental pollution and requirement for the green technologies.

‘Garuda’, the RVCE the supermileage Super Fuel Efficient Car, will be introduced on August 2 at RV College of Eng. Campus in Bangalore.

The ‘Garuda’ is the most recent in a series of innovations for the fuel efficient cars that has been designed by an Indian engineering student.

The ‘Garuda’ car is one of the 1st steps towards involvement in ‘SAE Supermileage International Competition’ to be held in U.S.A. and ‘Shell Eco-Marathon’ in U.K. The project is developed by the students of RVCE leaded by Nishant Sarawgi with the assistance from the industries like Tantra Infosolutions, Chameleon Motors, CD Adapco etc.

RVCE Students had previously revealed ‘Chimera’ as the hybrid car for city drive. This was collaborative project between auto industry and university which promoted and sponsored project accepted by the student. ‘Chimera’ project was sponsored by the REVA, Robert Bosch and National Instruments (NI).

    Hey that is really cool that they are coming with such fuel efficient cars in India. With ever rising fuel costs this is the better option. I had read the similar stuff.
